Life Group Leader

Life Groups exist to move people toward God while simultaneously building relationships with others.

  • Share: Groups are meant to initiate conversations about God’s word that draw us closer to God and closer to other group members.
  • Study: God’s word should be prioritized in the group.
  • Serve: Groups are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus, in and out of the church.
  • Support: Groups should create opportunities to foster encouragement through prayer, listening, meeting needs, challenging one another, and speaking encouraging words.

  • Believe in Jesus as your Lord and savior.
  • Love people and seek for them to know and love Jesus.
  • Commit to making time with Jesus a priority.
  • Pray for the members of your group regularly, encouraging the other members to pray for each other.
  • Make spiritual growth a number one priority in the Life Group.
  • Use God’s word as the foundation for the group.
  • Do life with the members of your group, celebrating life’s highs and lows.
  • Serve together as a group.

Time Commitment

  • Meet weekly (or biweekly) for 1-2 hours.
  • Connect with your group members outside of that weekly meeting, as needed.
  • Attend trainings, when offered by Gateway Church.
