Raising Money for Faith
A reminder that we are currently raising funds to support Faith Pyne, a missionary who will be heading to launch a medical clinic in Nicaragua. First Connect Night
We’re excited to announce a new opportunity for you to get connected and fellowship with other Gateway attendees called Connect Nights. On August 25 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM, we’re going to spend time getting to know each other and building relationships. There will be games, music, an ice cream social, as well as the official release of our fall calendar. There’s no need to sign up, just show up at 7:00 PM on August 25th!
Discover Gateway Seminar
If you’re interested in learning more about Gateway Church, we invite you to attend our Discover Gateway seminar on Sunday August 27th, at 12:30 PM. At Discover Gateway we unpack the mission, ministries, and beliefs of Gateway Church and help you pave a pathway to deeper engagement. It’s a great chance to get to meet with Pastor Jeff and ask any questions that you might have about how we do ministry. Food will be provided. Please note, attending a Discover Gateway seminar is required for membership at Gateway Church. You can register HERE.
One Service on Labor Day Weekend
A reminder that we will be meeting for one service at 10am on Sunday, September 3rd of Labor Day Weekend. The nursery will be open and available, and we will have activity bags available for any other children to take into the service.
Baptism
Baptism is a public commitment to a person’s faith in Jesus and it was undertaken by Jesus himself in the scriptures. At Gateway, we celebrate when a person says “yes” to following Jesus and chooses to be baptized. If you’ve never been baptized and you’re interested in learning more, you can sign up for our baptism service on September 24th. We will have a meeting prior, based on your schedule, and will record a short testimony of your faith journey. Please click HERE to sign up.
Life Groups
As we approach the end of summer, we invite you to consider signing up for a Life Group in the fall. A Life Group is a fantastic way to get involved and grow deeper with Jesus and with others. We offer a variety of Life Groups that meet a variety of times including Sunday afternoons and several times during the week. We will begin signups on September 3rd and September 10th and groups will begin on September 17th. Gateway Church is a volunteer-run organization which means we need you in order to execute our mission of following Jesus and helping others do the same. We need volunteers!
In an effort to try to make the process easier, we’ve created a single repository for all of our volunteer opportunities. When you go to this page, you will find opportunities broken down by ministry area and if you click on any opportunity, you will see that it’s built like a job posting. You will find expectations, prerequisites, and other information that you might need to make informed decisions about where to serve. You can then apply directly on that page to serve in that area and you will be contacted shortly by a member of our team to set up a time for next steps. Please note that because some ministry areas work with minors a background check is required for certain roles.
