It’s hard to believe summer is coming to an end! Some of our families have kids who’ve already started back to school, and the rest are not far behind. As mentioned in our sermon series last Sunday, there is both purpose and comfort in returning to these seasonal rhythms. Our desire at Gateway Church is that Kids Ministry will feel both familiar and welcoming to our kids and families. We are eager to kick off a new season!
September 11th, we will have all 3 rooms open for both the 9:00 and 10:45 worship services!
Nursery/toddler: Childcare for ages 0-3 (9 & 10:45)
PreK-K: Ages 3/4/5 + Kindergarten (9 & 10:45)
Elementary: 1st-5th grade (9am) 1st-3rd grade (10:45)
*Pre-Teen: 4th/5th grades *(10:45 only)
This fall, our PreK-K will be learning about the concept of thankfulness through stories in Genesis. Our Elementary age class will be working through the theme “The Word is Preached” engaging with stories in Daniel, Jonah, Esther & Nehemiah. And our new “pre-teen” group during 2nd service will be contemplating what it means to rely on God’s wisdom around the topics of popularity/success, understanding God’s love and laws for us, and what the Bible teaches about healthy communication.
We believe that parents are the primary disciplers of their children, and our goal is to partner with families to help your children know who God is and respond to His love for them. Our Sunday Groups use Gospel Light Curriculum with the over-arching goal of taking your child through the bible 4 times by the end of 5th grade. Gospel Light does a great job of using bible stories to teach foundational concepts, encouraging age-appropriate interactions, and life application for God’s word while pointing the kids to Jesus every week.
